Juvéderm® VOLBELLA® XC is the latest advancement in the Juvéderm® range of facial fillers, developed specifically for your lips and mouth area. It is the first and only FDA-approved filler to increase lip fullness and correct perioral lines for up to 1 year. It has been specifically developed as a smooth gel to give a soft, natural feel. The gel fills in lip lines and wrinkles while the hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture, so results can last up to a year.
Juvederm Volbella uses Vycross technology which tightens and cross links the hylauronic acid to improve duration. It has the lowest HA concentration, lowest affinity for water, and lowest cohesivity which makes a soft smooth gel appropriate for adding volume to lips and softening the appearance of the perioral lines.
In a multicenter, double blind, randomized study:
80.3% of patients had a clinically significant improvement in lip fullness at 3 months
61.8% of patients had a clinically significant improvement in lip fullness at 1 year
65.4% of patients had a clinically significant improvement in perioral lines at 3 months
66.2% of patients had a clinically significant improvement in perioral lines at 1 year

Volbella is injected into the lips using an ultra small needle. Ice or a lip block may be performed for comfort.
Recovery with Volbella is minimal allowing you to return to your usual activities after the procedure. You may experience mild side effects such as redness, tenderness, bruising or swelling right after the procedure.
Within the first 24 hours after your treatment, it is best to not do extreme exercise and to limit sun exposure. Make-up can be applied 2 hours after the procedure.
